In his speech at the opening ceremony of the new school year, Lieutenant General Do Minh Xuong, Director of the Army Academy, warmly welcomed 970 students from units throughout the army, from the Lao People's Army and the Royal Cambodian Army to study and train at the academy; expressing his belief that the students will promote the pride and heroic tradition of the Army Academy, constantly strive and achieve high results in the new school year.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the Army Academy successfully completed its educational , training and scientific research tasks. 100% of students in the training courses by position and postgraduate training graduated, with the good and excellent rate reaching 99.8%. In the new 2025-2026 school year, the Academy is determined to improve the quality of education, training and scientific research; build a team of cadres and lecturers with sufficient quantity and quality; take care of building a clean and strong Party Committee of the Academy; build a smart and modern Academy; compete to achieve outstanding achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Army Academy (July 7, 1946 / July 7, 2026).

In his speech, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense , wished all officers, lecturers, students and soldiers of the Army Academy confidence, excitement, and successful completion of all tasks in the new school year. He expressed his belief that with its long history and nearly 80 years of experience in building and growing, the Army Academy will overcome all difficulties, excellently complete its political tasks, and be worthy of being the leading center of military education, training and scientific research of the army and the country.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense requested that in the new school year, the Army Academy continue to lead, direct, and well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on military and defense tasks, Party building work, education-training work, and scientific research.

Implement well the motto "the training quality of the school is the combat readiness of the unit"; implement the three realities of "real teaching, real learning, real testing and assessment", effectively deploy the movement "Digital popular education"; constantly improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations.

For the students, the Deputy Minister of National Defense requested that they raise their awareness of self-discipline and the spirit of learning. Proactively accumulate knowledge, practice moral qualities, research capacity, and creative thinking so that after graduation, they can flexibly apply them in commanding agencies and units. Strive to become mid- to high-ranking officers in the Army, contributing to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern army.
