Through various forms such as "Law Day", research competitions, dramatization and application of information technology, the dissemination and education of law has contributed to raising awareness of law compliance, discipline, and building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit.

Bringing the law into soldiers' lives

One of the highlights in the dissemination and education of law in Military Region 7 is the integration of legal content into cultural, artistic, sports and daily activities of soldiers. In many units, short plays and dramatizations of violations are elaborately staged, both educational and creating a lively and attractive atmosphere.

Officers and soldiers of the Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command exchange legal knowledge with local youth union members.

At the 77th Air Defense Brigade (Military Region 7), the program "Air Defense Soldiers with the Homeland Sky" is held quarterly, combining art performances with quizzes on legal knowledge, ethics, and lifestyle. Each activity attracts a large number of officers, soldiers of the unit and union members and youth of the affiliated units to participate. Colonel Luong Khac Quang, Political Commissar of the 77th Air Defense Brigade, shared: "The form of dramatization is very effective. Soldiers can watch, learn from experience, and understand more deeply about legal regulations and military discipline."

In parallel, the movements and models of "One law a day", "One useful political question and answer every night", "Youth branch does not violate discipline" are maintained in order. At bulletin boards, reading rooms, common areas, propaganda slogans, leaflets, and legal posters in units are arranged scientifically, visually, and vividly to help soldiers learn and update information promptly anytime, anywhere.

Units also apply information technology, build an "Electronic Law Library", a system of online multiple choice questions, and situational videos for soldiers to review and test their knowledge. The combination of traditional and modern propaganda helps popularize and educate the law to become closer, more attractive, and no longer compulsory.

Stationed in the Southeast region, where there are many industrial parks, urban areas and borders, the work of disseminating and educating the law directed by Military Region 7 is not only limited within the unit but also expanded, coordinated with judicial agencies and local organizations to propagate the law to the people.

The Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command is one of the typical units. Every year, the unit coordinates with the provincial departments and branches to organize many mobile propaganda sessions in the border area, focusing on preventing and combating smuggling and crime. These propaganda sessions not only help people raise their awareness of the law but also strengthen the solidarity between the army and the people, building a solid people's heart and mind position at the border.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command coordinated with the police, customs, departments and branches to organize groups to distribute leaflets, legal handbooks, give life jackets and national flags to fishermen at fishing ports and each ship and boat, and focus on disseminating legal regulations on seafood exploitation, maritime safety and protecting sea and island sovereignty.

With synchronous and creative solutions, the dissemination and education of law in the Armed Forces of Military Region 7 has achieved many outstanding results. The rate of officers and soldiers who have studied and been educated about the law has reached over 99%.

Colonel Le Xuan Binh, Deputy Commander of the General Staff of Military Region 7, assessed: "Compared to the same period in 2024, from the beginning of 2025 until now, the number of cases and the number of people violating discipline in the armed forces of Military Region 7 has decreased by over 37%; officers and soldiers voluntarily comply with the law, contributing to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern armed force of the Military Region, meeting the requirements of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation."
