According to the report at the meeting, in 2024, Hoi An City People's Committee organized the implementation of 16/21 targets assigned by the City People's Council on socio-economic development, national defense and security.
The total number of visitors to Hoi An is estimated at over 4.4 million (96% of the plan). Of which, international visitors are estimated at over 3.5 million (up 11.4% over the same period).
The total number of visitors buying tickets reached over 3.5 million (94.6% of the plan). The total number of visitors staying is estimated at 1.87 million. Room occupancy rate reached 46.8%. Total revenue of the entire tourism industry is estimated at 5,231 billion VND. Average income per capita reached 64.4 million VND/year.
This year, the city has reviewed and submitted to the province 8 projects for approval to be included in Thanh Ha Industrial Cluster. Up to now, the project of the factory producing and processing high-precision industrial machine components of Ohnoseiko Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the project of the wooden furniture factory of AZ Furniture One Member Co., Ltd. have been approved for investment by the provincial People's Committee.
The total cultivated area in Hoi An in 2024 is 1,558 hectares (99.9% of the plan), the average rice yield is 74.3 quintals/ha. Flowers and ornamental plants grow well, the area planted with flowers and ornamental plants last year is estimated at 55 hectares, the total value is about 93.3 billion VND.
Hoi An's total budget revenue in 2024 is estimated at VND 1,782 billion (101.7% of the estimate). Of which, the total state budget revenue in the area is VND 960 billion (61.3% of the estimate).
In 2024, the city carried out compensation, support and resettlement for 25 projects, including 17 public investment projects. Approved 51 compensation plans for 1,000 households with a total cost of more than 110 billion VND; arranged resettlement and completed land allocation procedures for households in 6 projects with a total area of 16,483m²...
In 2025, Hoi An aims to attract nearly 5 million visitors; the total number of visitors buying tickets to visit destinations will reach over 4 million; the total number of visitors staying will reach over 2 million. The total budget revenue target is 1,985 billion VND, the average income per capita will reach 74 million VND/year.
