Ly Nhan Red Cross Society launches Humanitarian Month 2025

At the launching ceremony, the Provincial Red Cross Society presented 15 wheelchairs and 120 gifts worth a total of 95 million VND. Pretty Vina Company supported 18 orphans and homeless elderly people for 6 months (from May to October 2025), each household received 500,000 VND per month; supported 12 million VND for Mac Thuong Pagoda (Chinh Ly Commune) which is currently raising 6 orphans, with a total cost of 76 million VND. The total value of humanitarian support given by Ly Nhan District at the program was 368 million VND.

Towards the goal of the Humanitarian Month, the Red Cross Associations at all levels in Ly Nhan district have mobilized resources to provide regular and emergency support to over 60 humanitarian addresses in difficult circumstances, each address receiving support from 2.7 million VND to 12 million VND in 2025, with a total budget of over 230 million VND; organized the donation of 40 wheelchairs to people with disabilities from poor households and households in difficult circumstances with a total value of 80 million VND; donated 160 portions of powdered milk to students of Vinh Tru Town B Kindergarten and Nhan Nghia Commune Kindergarten with a total budget of 144 million VND; donated 10 million VND to support "Poor fishermen clinging to the sea" in Nghe An province launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Association; organized 3 first aid training courses for 90 students and teachers of secondary and high schools in the district; awarded 10 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances with a total cost of over 11 million VND...

Humanitarian Month is not only a journey of love, but also a symbol of solidarity and connection between the government, people and social organizations in joining hands for the community, "leaving no one behind". With specific and practical actions, the "Humanitarian Journey" in Ly Nhan district is continuing to affirm the value of humanity in building a humane and sustainable society. It is known that Humanitarian Month in 2025 will be deployed simultaneously throughout the district (from May 1 to 31, including 2 peak weeks from May 8 (International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day) to May 19 (President Ho Chi Minh's birthday).
