Representatives of the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers and leaders of Thanh Hoa City attended.
At the conference, delegates reviewed the 20-year journey of the association. At the beginning, the Thanh Hoa City Veterans Association had 17 wards and communes with more than 1,600 members. After many years of merging administrative units, the association now has 47 wards and communes and nearly 6,000 members. Most of the cadres and members are old and in poor health due to the consequences of war. However, promoting the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, cadres and members of the former Youth Volunteers Association in the area have still actively and enthusiastically participated in the movement and association's activities over the past 4 terms.

Especially in the 2020-2025 term, the highlights are: Promoting the tradition of the Youth Volunteer Force, the Association at all levels promotes the movement of former Thanh Hoa Youth Volunteers following Uncle Ho's teachings, campaigns, and emulation movements of the Association and Thanh Hoa City. Former Youth Volunteers always do a good job in political and ideological education, set an example for the younger generation, actively work, produce, develop the economy to enrich themselves legitimately and do a good job of comradeship. Many Association organizations, cadres and members have been awarded at all levels.

Currently, Thanh Hoa City has 12 economic development models of cadres and members with good income. The Association has coordinated with functional sectors to promptly resolve policies for 1,297 members, issue 1,600 certificates for members to overcome the consequences of war, resolve policies for Youth Volunteers participating in overcoming the consequences of war, and building the economy from April 30, 1975 to December 31, 1982.
The association at all levels has mobilized benefactors and support from officials and members to build 39 new houses and repair 7 charity houses, give 378 savings books to members; maintain piggy banks and the "For the solidarity of comrades" fund to help members in difficulty...

At the conference, delegates also listened to a report on the results of the association's activities in the first 6 months of the year, assessed the achievements, pointed out a number of limitations to continue to overcome and implemented a number of key tasks to prepare for the implementation of a 2-level government, such as: The Association of Former Youth Volunteers of the new wards after the merger quickly stabilized the organization, soon completed the new executive committee to put the association into operation; The Standing Committee of the Association of 7 wards coordinated with the Youth Union to propagate andeducate the younger generation about the revolutionary tradition; organized the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the tradition of the Youth Volunteer Force (July 15, 1950 - July 15, 2025) and holidays and anniversaries; focused on directing, mobilizing, calling on businesses and philanthropists to do a good job of comradeship; reviewed eligible former Youth Volunteers who participated before 1975 and posthumously awarded the Glorious Youth Volunteer Medal; Urgently complete the synthesis of relevant records and data, inventory, and hand over assets of ward, commune, and City Associations according to the direction of Thanh Hoa City.
