Ha Tinh Nurses Association: Lively activities to celebrate International Nurses Day, May 12, 2025.

Since 1965, the International Council of Nurses (ICN) has designated May 12th – the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing – as International Nurses Day to commemorate her immense contributions and to honor the role of nurses in patient care and public health.

Ha Tinh City Medical Center organizes a charitable meal for poor patients.

In 2025, the International Council of Nurses announced the theme for International Nurses Day as “Our Nurses. Our Future. Care for Nurses to Boost the Economy .” This timely and humane message emphasizes the essential role of nurses not only in healthcare but also in the sustainable development of society and the economy. Caring for nurses is an investment in the future, in a healthy, stable, and prosperous society.

In collaboration with salons, we organize free haircuts for inpatients.

Ha Tinh Lung Hospital donates gifts to poor patients receiving treatment at the hospital.

Following the directives of the Ministry of Health, the Ha Tinh Department of Health, and the Vietnam Nurses Association regarding the organization of activities to celebrate International Nurses Day on May 12, 2025, in recent times, hospitals and medical centers in the province have coordinated to organize commemorative activities in various forms such as rallies, seminars, dissemination of the history of International Nurses Day on May 12 and the career of Florence Nightingall; awarding and honoring nurses, midwives, and technicians with outstanding achievements in performing their professional duties and upholding the ethical standards of nurses; organizing cultural exchanges, volleyball and football matches for nurses, midwives, and medical technicians within the unit and with other units in the industry. They have also implemented activities to clean the environment of wards and hospitals by maintaining the "5S Day"; managing medical waste; and building "green, clean, and beautiful" medical facilities.

Ha Tinh Rehabilitation Hospital organizes a professional skills and technical expertise competition.

Ky Anh Town General Hospital commends outstanding nurses, midwives, and KYV (Ky Anh Medical Center) staff.

In addition to performing their assigned daily technical duties , during this period, more than 2,100 nurses, midwives, and technicians volunteered at least one day to cut hair, wash hair, and provide hygiene care for critically ill patients; 4,700 free meals/porridge were distributed to patients; nearly 3,700 patients and their families received health counseling and education; free haircuts were provided at salons for over 300 patients; and gifts were given to 105 disadvantaged patients.

Organizations held rallies, gatherings, and presented gifts to celebrate International Nurses Day on May 12th.

Also on this occasion, 82 outstanding nurses, midwives, and medical technicians were commended and rewarded by their respective units with a total of over 30 million VND.

Through activities commemorating International Nurses Day on May 12, 2024, the role and importance of nursing care in the healthcare system are enhanced .
