The 2020-2025 typical advanced conference summarizing the patriotic emulation movement and honoring outstanding individuals and collectives was recently held by Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant (the plant) at its headquarters, Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, Ninh Thuan .

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vu Thanh Hai, Party Secretary and Factory Director, commended and acknowledged the efforts of the staff and workers over the past 5 years. In the period 2020-2025, the factory launched and maintained many practical emulation movements such as "Digital transformation in EVN" (2021), "Safe, flexible and effective adaptation" (2022), "Successfully implementing tasks and plans for 2025"... Each year has a theme, each movement has a focus, not showing off but focusing on promoting efficiency in each stage of production. The factory has participated in and exceeded 107% of the initiative target in the "10 thousand initiatives" program launched by the EVN Trade Union. Many topics have high practical value such as "A chain of industrial water saving solutions in factories including: Solution to reuse treated wastewater for misting system to suppress dust; Reuse of pond water for watering plants instead of service water"; "Solutions to improve slag boat system"; "A chain of solutions to reduce dust emission into the environment"... both reducing operating costs and improving the working environment, protecting the environment.

Deputy Director, Chairman of the Factory Union Tran Ngoc Huong launched the emulation movement for the period 2025 - 2030.

“We do not compete for achievements, but compete to grow and contribute. Competition starts from daily work, each small initiative, each safe operation, each effective equipment control is the result of seriousness, intelligence and dedication. From a newly established factory, lacking experience, lacking human resources, lacking a management model, we have gradually stabilized, built an operating culture, created a foundation of safety - efficiency - exceeding productivity. With the effort to overcome difficulties, the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, each unit can overcome challenges and rise up with its own internal strength. I am impressed with seemingly simple initiatives such as improving the conveyor system, adjusting the operating logic... but bringing great efficiency. We need more people who dare to think, dare to do, dare to show”, the factory director shared.

The factory's management board also identified five risks that could affect the quality of operations in the coming period. These include equipment starting to deteriorate after many years of continuous operation; personnel fluctuations, especially brain drain due to new projects attracting skilled workers; pressure on national electricity load growth, requirements for increased mobilization capacity; fluctuations in fuel costs and unstable supply; requirements for administrative reform, improving operational efficiency towards streamlining and digitalization. Faced with these challenges, emulation is no longer a movement but must become a management solution, a cultural solution. Emulation must be applied to each job position, linked to KPIs, initiatives, training, digital transformation, and social responsibility. Here, three representatives of the factory presented quality presentations, highlighting solutions in labor safety, equipment operation, and developing grassroots initiatives. The presentations stemmed from daily work, containing professional passion and aspiration to contribute.
