According to the Department of Agricultural Product Quality and Rural Development (DARD) of the province, implementing the plan of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in 2024. After synthesizing product profiles sent by the People's Committees of the districts to the Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council, the Department of Agriculture and Environment (Standing Agency of the OCOP Program) organized 2 rounds of OCOP product evaluation and classification in 2024.
The province received 10 product profiles for evaluation. After 2 rounds of evaluation, the Provincial OCOP Council recognized 7 products as meeting 4-star standards. These are typical products with local strengths such as fish sauce, dragon fruit and specialty rice, highly appreciated for their quality, production scale and packaging design.




Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Agricultural Product Quality and Rural Development of the province awarded certificates to the subjects.
At the Conference, certificates were awarded to 7 products that achieved 4-star OCOP certification, including: Original premium anchovy fish sauce with 32 degrees of nitrogen - Royal brand of Van Xuan FMCG Investment Company Limited (Tuy Phong); red-fleshed and white-fleshed dragon fruit of Ham Minh 30 Dragon Fruit Cooperative (Ham Thuan Nam); ST25 brown rice and ST25 rice of Duc Binh Agricultural Service Cooperative (Tanh Linh); Thuan Hung anchovy fish sauce with 35 degrees of nitrogen and 60 degrees of nitrogen of Thuan Hung Fish Sauce Production Company Limited (Phan Thiet City).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment assessed: The OCOP program in the province in recent times has achieved many important results in promoting rural economic development and improving people's lives. OCOP products have contributed to increasing the value of local products, especially the province's strengths such as dragon fruit, fish sauce, processed foods and bird's nest products. The program has helped form value chains from production to consumption, connecting cooperatives, businesses and households, creating a foundation for sustainable development for the rural economy. Many OCOP products have built brands and reputations in the market, not only domestically but also for export.
Being recognized as a 4-star OCOP not only creates conditions for products to reach out to domestic and foreign markets, but also opens up opportunities to participate in national voting, aiming for export. From this result, the province continues to implement activities to support production, promote trade, build brands for typical products, create jobs and actively contribute to the process of building new rural areas in Binh Thuan .
