On the afternoon of October 24, comrade Lu Quang Ngoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a conference to contribute to the draft plan for organizing the Military-Civilian Tet in 2026.

According to the plan, the 2026 Military-Civilian Tet will be held in Binh Phu, Cho Lach, and Ngai Tu communes and will be divided into 2 phases. Phase 1: Military-Civilian Tet associated with the traditional Tet of the ethnic group will be held in Binh Phu commune (from February 2-3, 2026), Cho Lach commune (from February 5-6, 2026). Phase 2: Military-Civilian Tet associated with Chol Chnam Thmay Tet of the Khmer ethnic group will be held in Ngai Tu commune (from April 14-15, 2026).
The Military-Civilian Tet includes activities of gratitude, social security, upgrading rural roads, building street lighting systems, providing free medical examinations and medicines, installing clean water supply systems, security cameras, and donating houses to families with meritorious services and disadvantaged households. Along with that are cultural and sports activities, art exchanges, community banh tet wrapping contests, military-civilian cooking contests, and displays of typical industrial and agricultural products.

This is the first time the Military-Civilian Tet has been organized after the province's merger and the implementation of the 2-level local government model. The activity demonstrates the care and concern of the Party, government, departments, socio-political organizations and armed forces for policy families, families in difficult circumstances and Khmer people. Thereby, further tightening the solidarity and close relationship between the army and the people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere to welcome the traditional national Tet and Chol Chnam Thmay of the Khmer people, warm and happy.
At the conference, delegates agreed on the plan to organize the Military-Civilian Tet in 2026, and discussed issues related to organization, funding, coordination of departments, branches, unions, localities and implementation of celebration projects.
