Fund "For the poor" of Tuong Mai ward reached more than 950 million VND

On the afternoon of October 24, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuong Mai ward launched the peak month "For the poor" and social security.

Reporting on the results of mobilizing the "For the Poor" Fund and social security in 2025, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuong Mai Ward Tran Thu Thuy said that up to now, the total amount of money mobilized is over 950 million VND, of which: The amount of money handed over by the wards when merging is 405 million VND; the amount collected in October 2025 is 240 million VND; agencies, units, and philanthropists in the area have registered to support the fund with an amount of over 320 million VND.

In addition to the activities to support the "For the Poor" Fund, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has actively mobilized benefactors to support and give gifts directly to households in difficult circumstances.

Since the merger on July 1, 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the ward has organized 3 rounds of giving gifts with over 200 gifts worth nearly 500 million VND; organized propaganda and mobilized local people to support compatriots to overcome the consequences of storms and floods into the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City with over 570 million VND.

According to Ms. Tran Thu Thuy, currently, in the ward there are still many households in difficult circumstances, lonely elderly people, sick people..., who are in dire need of help from the community.

Launching the peak month "For the poor" and social security in 2025, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuong Mai ward Tran Thu Thuy called on agencies, units, businesses, schools, mass organizations, philanthropists and all people in the area to actively respond and support the "For the poor" Fund of Tuong Mai ward with specific and practical gestures and actions.

Ms. Thuy emphasized that each heart shared, each gift of support is a warm fire, contributing to bringing faith and hope to those in difficult circumstances in life. The Fatherland Front of the ward commits to manage, use effectively, publicly, transparently and for the right purpose all supported funds, so that all contributions reach the hands of those who really need help.

At the launching ceremony, the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee of Tuong Mai ward gave gifts to 11 near-poor households (2 million VND each); and gave gifts to 51 families with suddenly difficult circumstances (1 million VND each).
