Implementing the National Target Program well in Yen Xuan commune

On October 24, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Hanoi city worked with the People's Committee of Yen Xuan commune on ethnic affairs, beliefs and religions in 2025; results of implementing the National Target Program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the 2021-2030 period.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Xuan Commune, Phung Khac Son, said: In the first 9 months of 2025, Yen Xuan Commune has synchronously deployed tasks and achieved results in all aspects of economy and society in general, ethnic, religious and belief work in particular, especially maintaining stability in the locality, solidarity and cohesion among ethnic groups; stable belief and religious activities, no complicated problems...

The commune has 6,382 households with 26,975 people, of which 3,938 are ethnic minority households, accounting for 61.7%. The commune has no poor households, and there are 30 near-poor ethnic minority households.

Implementing projects under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period, Yen Xuan commune is included in the investment plan for 46 projects, with a total investment of VND 899,250 million. The disbursement result by the end of 2024 is VND 455,763 million; the capital allocated in 2025 is VND 163,315 million. Up to now, the commune has completed and settled 18 projects; completed and awaited settlement of 7 projects; is under construction for 11 projects; and is awaiting capital arrangement for 10 projects. In addition to 46 public investment projects, in the 2021-2025 period, the commune also implemented 3 projects with public capital that have been completed and are completing the handover and putting into use.

At the meeting, the commune representative specifically pointed out difficulties and obstacles, pointed out shortcomings and proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of ethnic and religious work, socio-economic development, especially in the 2026-2030 period of the National Target Program.

Concluding the meeting, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Hanoi city Nguyen Sy Truong acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that Yen Xuan commune has achieved.

Comrade Nguyen Sy Truong suggested that the commune continue to strengthen leadership, direction, and review policy documents to ensure security and order and consolidate the great national unity bloc; at the same time, promote cultural values and focus on building a team of dedicated cadres.

In terms of socio-economics, the commune needs to speed up the capital disbursement progress in 2025, check the quality of project works, and urgently review investment needs for the National Target Program for the period 2026-2030 so that the Department can promptly propose to the city to arrange capital sources.
