Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, Director of the Institute for Brand Strategy and Competitiveness Research, said that the fair is a new milestone in the journey of national integration and trade promotion, and a new push for Vietnamese enterprises on the integration journey.
A new milestone in the journey of national integration and trade promotion
The 2025 Autumn Fair is considered a “strategic highlight”, not only associated with trade promotion but also reflecting Vietnam’s new development mindset – bringing Vietnamese goods to the world and bringing the world to Vietnam.
This event is “a very important program, of long-term significance in the process of national economic integration and development”, with the goal of both connecting domestic trade and affirming the capacity and mettle of the Vietnamese economy in international integration.
The 2025 Autumn Fair has a scale of more than 130,000 m² of exhibition space, 3,000 booths and is expected to welcome about 500,000 visitors per day, held at the Vietnam Exhibition Center - a complex considered to be among the most modern in the region.
Dr. Vo Tri Thanh analyzed that the world is entering a period of profound transformation with both opportunities and challenges intertwined. In that context, innovation in trade promotion models has become urgent. Technology, especially digital technology , plays a key role, but exhibitions, fairs and direct business support activities are still irreplaceable pillars. This is the fulcrum for businesses to expand their cooperation networks, access international markets and increase competitiveness.
The 2025 Autumn Fair also has a special meaning when it demonstrates the connection between Vietnamese people - products - businesses with the world, while affirming the intrinsic value of the domestic market. This event is therefore also a "test" for the effectiveness of trade promotion policies and the ability to connect the State - businesses - markets.
From a macro perspective, Dr. Vo Tri Thanh believes that Vietnam needs to continue to invest more strongly in attracting high-quality capital flows from both domestic and foreign countries, while stimulating “smart” consumption as a driving force for rapid and sustainable growth. By linking these goals with promotional events such as the Autumn Fair, Vietnam will have a substantial basis to assess its organizational capacity, connectivity and ability to create real value.
“If done well, the Autumn Fair can become a strategic event for the 2026–2030 period, contributing to raising Vietnam's position on the international trade map,” Mr. Thanh commented.
The Vietnam Exhibition Center is qualified to organize large-scale, professional events – that is a very important step forward. This modern infrastructure is not only a place to introduce products and services, but also a space for knowledge and innovation.

New boost for Vietnamese businesses on the integration journey
Not only creating the image of a large-scale, professional event, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has proactively mobilized a network of more than 60 Vietnamese trade offices abroad, connecting international cooperation channels to support domestic enterprises.
Notably, the fair program is designed in conjunction with the national trade promotion strategy for the next 5 years, serving as a long-term connection platform, helping Vietnamese businesses improve their integration capacity and adapt to global fluctuations.
Dr. Vo Tri Thanh believes that to effectively take advantage of opportunities from fairs, Vietnamese businesses need to change their mindset and approach to the market. Participating in fairs is not just about displaying products but also about telling the brand story, demonstrating identity, supply capacity and commitment to sustainable development.
“The fair is an opportunity for businesses to learn, observe consumer trends, grasp market demands, and adjust production and business strategies accordingly,” he said. This is also an opportunity for businesses to transform from a passive processing role to proactively creating value and affirming Vietnamese brands on the global map.

Along with that, learning from successful models, improving organizational capacity, negotiating and promoting in accordance with international standards will help Vietnamese enterprises become more confident on the integration journey. When taking advantage of this opportunity, enterprises will develop more strongly, proactively and sustainably.
According to Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, large-scale promotional events such as the Autumn Fair will create three important spillover effects: First, affirming the image of Vietnam as dynamic, creative and deeply integrated. Second, enhancing the international trade capacity of enterprises, helping them expand markets and sign substantive contracts. Third, creating a foundation for forming a sustainable trade promotion ecosystem, towards a series of "four-season" fairs in Vietnam in the future.
“The Autumn Fair is not only a trade promotion event, but also a symbol of the aspiration to reach out – where Vietnam affirms its integration capacity and ability to create new values in the global economy,” Dr. Vo Tri Thanh emphasized.
