19th Danang City Party Committee Conference

On the morning of May 15, the Da Nang City Party Committee held its 19th conference to evaluate the results of the first quarter's tasks and discuss key directions and solutions for the second quarter of 2025. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh and Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee - Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh co-chaired the conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang said that since the beginning of the year, the City Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the implementation of many historic policies, especially the policy of streamlining the apparatus; promoting double-digit growth and especially celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding and the 50th anniversary of the city's liberation. Party committees at all levels, units and localities have taken action with high initiative, determination, focus and key points; at the same time, there have been synchronous, flexible and creative solutions. Thereby creating positive changes in all aspects of work.

According to the Secretary of the City Party Committee, in the first quarter, the city's socio-economic situation continued to have quite positive growth, with GRDP growth reaching 11.36%, ranking first among centrally-run cities, fourth in the country and the quarter with the highest growth rate since the beginning of the term.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Party committees, units and localities in implementing the tasks. At the same time, he suggested continuing to draw lessons for implementation in the coming time, because the workload is very large, in the context of many difficulties and challenges.

At the conference, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang also quickly informed about the important and outstanding results of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, which took place from April 10 to 12, passing many important resolutions of historical significance for the country.

After the opening ceremony, this morning, the delegates attending the conference evaluated, exchanged and discussed to clarify the outstanding results achieved in the aspects of Party building and political system; implementing the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the city in the first quarter. At the same time, they identified the challenges, difficulties, and lessons learned from practical implementation, on that basis, discussed and proposed appropriate solutions to continue to perform well the tasks in the coming time, especially ensuring the target of double-digit growth in the context of implementing the policy of restructuring, streamlining the apparatus, merging provincial-level administrative units, not organizing district level, merging commune level and building a 2-level local government organization model./.
