Attending the conference were leaders of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, representatives of a number of departments, branches and members of the Advisory Council.
The workshop report stated: The issuance of the Resolution and the development of this specialized Project are considered strategic and urgent tasks, marking an important turning point in the development orientation of Ninh Binh from a single-industry model to developing a cluster of cultural, industrial tourism and creative services, towards forming a modern cultural and tourism economic ecosystem.
After the merger, Ninh Binh province will not only expand geographically but also closely combine unique cultural resources and socio-economic advantages, creating a strong resonance effect. The intersection of historical, cultural, spiritual, ecological, agricultural tourism with cultural creative industry promises to form a comprehensive product chain, opening up a direction for breakthrough, green and sustainable development in the integration era.
In recent times, the province's tourism and cultural industry have achieved many remarkable results: the number of tourists increased by an average of 28%/year, total revenue increased by 45%/year; many national and international tourist areas and destinations were formed. Some key cultural industries such as music, cinema, festivals, performing arts, handicrafts, advertising, media, cuisine and creative technology have gradually developed, contributing to preserving and spreading the cultural identity of the ancient capital.
However, revenue and added value are still not commensurate with potential; planning is not synchronous, infrastructure is weak, products are monotonous, lacking cultural depth and high-end products. Promotion and advertising are not effective, lacking strategic investors and high-quality human resources; the cultural industry is still scattered, small-scale, and not closely linked with tourism.
At the workshop, the representative of the Department of Tourism briefly presented the content of the Draft Resolution and Project "Developing tourism and cultural industry to become a key economic cluster in the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2050". In which, the goal is determined: Building Ninh Binh into a national and international tourism center, a pole of the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh tourism development driving force area. Positioning as a "Heritage - ecological - cultural - religious tourism center" of Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Developing tourism products integrating heritage, landscape, people, associated with cultural industry, digital technology and green technology. Identifying tourism and cultural industry as a key economic cluster, playing a driving role in renewing the growth model.
Contributing opinions at the workshop, members of the Advisory Council all emphasized the role and urgency of the Project, and also gave many important comments for completion. Notably, the requirement to clearly identify key breakthrough tasks in the first 3 years was highlighted. The Council emphasized the need to specify the mechanism for mobilizing financial resources, building a mechanism to encourage the business community and especially the synchronous development of the smart tourism - cultural industry ecosystem associated with digital infrastructure and inter-sectoral databases.
The Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations and the drafting agency will accept all comments to supplement, edit and complete the Project, aiming to build the Ninh Binh tourism - cultural industry brand in integration and sustainable development.
