Attending the workshop were Ambassador Bui Le Thai, trade officers and officials from the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary, President of the Csongrád-Csanád County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of the Hungary-Vietnam Business Council, leaders of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency and many representatives of businesses from both countries.
Speaking at the workshop, Ambassador Bui Le Thai emphasized the significance of the event in Szeged - a potential economic center of Hungary - in connecting the business communities of the two countries, contributing to the strong development of Vietnam-Hungary economic and trade relations, commensurate with the potential and strengths of the two countries.
The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam is one of the safest and most attractive investment destinations in Asia, with an open and stable business environment, preferential policies, a young and skilled workforce and a market of more than 100 million people.
The amended Investment Law continues to simplify procedures, reduce costs, increase transparency, and create maximum convenience for foreign investors. Ambassador Bui Le Thai also emphasized the capacity of Vietnamese enterprises to meet high quality standards and consumer tastes of the EU market, including Hungary.

Vietnam is currently among the top 5 agricultural exporting countries in the world , with key products such as coffee, cashew nuts, pepper, tea, rice, tropical fruits, seafood, etc. which have established strong brands in the international market and are increasingly popular with European consumers, including Hungary.
Along with that, Vietnam is becoming a center for manufacturing electronic components and smartphones for many large global corporations such as Samsung, Intel, LG. Textiles, footwear, wooden products, and handicrafts also have great export potential, meeting the quality standards and tastes of European consumers.
At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing cooperation opportunities in areas such as pharmaceuticals, biomedicine, food processing, clean energy, digital technology , smart manufacturing, environmental technology, water and waste treatment.
Many Hungarian enterprises expressed their interest in expanding investment and business cooperation with Vietnam, while Vietnamese enterprises affirmed their determination to boost exports of Vietnamese goods to Hungary, effectively taking advantage of incentives of the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

Within the framework of the workshop, the Embassy displayed and introduced typical export products of Vietnam, such as coffee, tea, cashew nuts, rice, processed fruits, handicrafts, etc. This was an opportunity for businesses and attendees to directly experience the designs, packaging, and quality of Vietnamese goods.
At the end of the event, delegates and guests enjoyed Vietnamese cuisine and watched a video clip about the 75-year journey of Vietnam-Hungary friendship, Vietnam's development achievements over the past 80 years, and promotional images about the country, people and tourism of Vietnam.
The workshop is one of the outstanding activities in the series of events celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Hungary diplomatic relations, bringing many practical results, opening up new cooperation opportunities, contributing to deepening economic, trade and investment relations between Vietnam and Hungary.
