As part of his official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the morning of October 28th (local time), General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, visited the tomb of proletarian leader Karl Marx at Highgate Cemetery in London.

The philosopher Karl Marx was born in Germany in 1818 and settled in London in 1849 until his death in 1883.
He was an outstanding leader of the working class, the working people, the oppressed nations, and progressive humanity in general.
Karl Marx's tomb, located in Highgate Cemetery, is a historically and ideologically significant landmark and a prominent tourist attraction in the British capital.
Initially, in 1883, the philosopher Karl Marx was buried in a modest spot in this cemetery. Later, in 1954, his remains and those of his family members were moved to the same area and placed beneath a larger memorial, which was inaugurated in 1956.
The mausoleum, designed by sculptor Laurence Bradshaw, features a bronze bust of Karl Marx placed on a marble pedestal inscribed with his famous slogan, "Workers of all lands , unite!" – taken from his work, The Communist Manifesto.

The tomb's current location has been designated "Grade I listed" - the highest classification for heritage sites of outstanding architectural and historical value in England.
The tomb is not only a resting place but also a powerful symbol. Many Marxists, scholars, and international tourists come here as a spiritual pilgrimage to commemorate the author of ideas that have profoundly influenced world politics and society.
Highgate Cemetery sits atop a hill in the northern suburbs of London, offering visitors a sense of peace and tranquility.

This is also the resting place of many famous figures such as physicist Michael Faraday, the parents of writer Charles Dickens, philosopher, sociologist, and political scientist Herbert Spencer, and writer George Eliot.
The cemetery is open to visitors according to its own hours and regulations. When visiting Highgate Cemetery, visitors can head to the East Side to clearly see Karl Marx's tomb, standing out amidst the tranquil, lush greenery.
