The audience enjoyed water puppet shows imbued with Vietnamese national identity, where rustic, lively puppets were skillfully controlled and blended with folk songs, monochords, two-stringed fiddles, bamboo flutes, etc., vividly recreating the working life, beliefs and souls of Vietnamese people.

The performance not only brings to the Lao audience and the Vietnamese community in Laos a unique cultural space, but also serves as a bridge of cultural exchange, demonstrating the special friendship, solidarity and close attachment between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

After nearly 50 years since the 1970s, the art of Vietnamese water puppetry has had the opportunity to return to the Lao public and the Vietnamese community in Laos. This event not only has artistic significance but also represents a profound gratitude, affirming the strength and vitality of national culture, contributing to deepening the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos, and affirming the role of culture as a soft power connecting the two brotherly nations.

Earlier, on the same day, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam also received the delegation visiting the Embassy.
