The report presented at the conference indicated that the province had supported the elimination of temporary and dilapidated housing for 19,067 poor households, near-poor households, and policy beneficiary families during the 2021-2025 period. The total budget for the program reached over 955 billion VND. The results achieved were 100% of the people's needs met. Specifically, the province built 13,719 new houses, repaired 5,322 houses, and constructed 26 prefabricated houses.
The entire province mobilized additional social resources to support the construction and repair of 401 houses. This capital amounted to nearly 18 billion VND. In addition, the mobilized resources included over 201,100 man-days of labor, 67 tons of cement, 120,600 bricks, and 1,070 sheets of fiber cement. These resources came from organizations, individuals, businesses, and the people throughout the province.
In his opening remarks at the conference, Comrade Vu Hong Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Steering Committee, affirmed that the program has profound humanitarian significance. The program clearly demonstrates the political determination to care for the lives of the poor. Comrade Vu Hong Quang pointed out that the achievements are clear evidence of the decisive leadership and the consensus of the entire society.
Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Ms. Nong Thi Ha, commended Cao Bang province for its outstanding achievements in the program. The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the proactive and innovative role of Cao Bang province – one of the leading localities. Ms. Nong Thi Ha noted that achieving the goal of eliminating temporary housing is only the beginning. More importantly, the province must continue to improve the quality of life for its people.
The Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions suggested that the province continue to maintain its achievements. The province needs to regularly review and provide timely support to households facing difficulties, ensuring that all citizens have stable housing.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Be Thanh Tinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, emphasized that achieving the goals was a "miracle" for the province in caring for the people's lives. Comrade Be Thanh Tinh stated that the program contributed to strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the State. At the same time, the program also consolidated the great national unity.
Comrade Bế Thanh Tịnh suggested that in the coming period, all levels and sectors should continue to promote propaganda and raise awareness of the program's significance. Units need to regularly review and update the housing situation to promptly support emerging cases. The guiding principle is "addressing problems as they arise." He also requested attention to the synchronized implementation of livelihood support and job creation policies. This aims to guide people in developing household economies, increasing income, and achieving sustainable poverty alleviation.
