Hai Duong Doctors Association in Ho Chi Minh City provides free eye surgery for people from the hometown

Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang acknowledged the meaningful and practical activities of the Hai Duong Physicians Association in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of April 26, at Ninh Giang District Medical Center, the Hai Duong Physicians Association in Ho Chi Minh City organized a program to provide free eye examination and surgery for the elderly.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended and encouraged.

Lieutenant General Lam Quang Dai, Head of the Liaison Committee of the Hai Duong Association in Ho Chi Minh City, thanked the leaders of Hai Duong province for their attention in creating conditions for his hometown's children living and working in Ho Chi Minh City to serve their homeland.

Speaking at the program, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang affirmed that the free eye examination and surgery activities carried out by the Hai Duong Physicians Association in Ho Chi Minh City on his homeland are very meaningful. It is even more meaningful when the program takes place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The program is not only a practical activity to care for people's health but also a vivid demonstration of compatriot love and gratitude to the homeland. At the same time, it is a deep gratitude of the outstanding Hai Duong people living and working in Ho Chi Minh City to their homeland.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang respectfully acknowledged the noble deeds of the Hai Duong Physicians Association in Ho Chi Minh City, who did not mind the distance, bringing their experience and expertise to bring light to many patients with eye diseases in their hometown. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his deep gratitude to the Hai Duong Fellow Countrymen Association in Ho Chi Minh City for accompanying and actively supporting the development of the province in many fields.

Informing the working delegation, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang said that Hai Duong province is determined and making the greatest effort to achieve the socio-economic development goals of the 2020-2025 term, creating momentum with the whole country to enter the era of development. Currently, the province is resolutely implementing the arrangement of administrative units at all levels according to the Central Government's policy and receiving high support, consensus and unity.

Although simultaneously implementing many important political tasks, Hai Duong province still pays special attention to social security policies and taking care of people's health. The province has focused resources on implementing urgent health, education and social security projects, not allowing the arrangement of administrative units to affect people's normal lives. In order for the free eye examination and surgery program organized by the Hai Duong Association of Physicians in Ho Chi Minh City to achieve good results, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang requested the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Office and the provincial agencies and units to be attentive and enthusiastic in welcoming, providing logistics and transporting the working delegation during their stay in Hai Duong. The Department of Health directed specialized agencies to prepare medical conditions, ensuring absolute safety during the examination, surgery and post-operative care for patients. Localities created maximum conditions, arranged forces and family members throughout the implementation of the program.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang hopes that this program will start annual activities, continuing the flow of love of Hai Duong children far from home towards their homeland.

At the same time, he thanked the attention of the provincial leaders and agencies and organizations for creating conditions for the working delegation to organize meaningful activities to serve the homeland and return to their roots.

The doctors performing the surgery are all leading experts in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ninh Giang residents excited to receive free eye surgery

According to the plan, the Hai Duong Physicians Association in Ho Chi Minh City will examine and perform eye surgery for about 400 elderly people with eye diseases in Ninh Giang and Thanh Mien districts. Priority will be given to those who have contributed to the revolution, relatives of martyrs, people in difficult circumstances, retired officials, etc. This is a source-returning activity, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and respond to the Humanitarian Month in 2025.
