Implementing the plan to develop and diversify tourism products of Thanh Ha pottery village, Thanh Ha Ward People's Committee (Hoi An City) organized the Thanh Ha traditional pottery and lantern making contest in 2023 with the theme "Lighting up the quintessence of Thanh Ha pottery craft".
All organizations and individuals who are capable of creating ceramic products in accordance with the competition regulations in Quang Nam province can participate. Ceramic products must be handcrafted, without the use of machinery, with a minimum size of 40cm x 30cm x 30cm; ceramic lantern products can use molds, with a minimum size of 30cm x 30cm x 30cm. The product must ensure high aesthetics, ensure the material and firing level according to regulations; be creative, the product must combine tradition and modernity, encourage products that can be developed into commercial products to serve tourism and civil use; prioritize the creation of lantern products for display.
Contestants register to participate at the Office of Thanh Ha Ward People's Committee (Hoi An City); phone 02353.864.040 until July 15, 2023. The contest is expected to take place from August 5-6, 2023 at Thanh Ha traditional pottery village.
