More than 1.1 million candidates registered for the graduation exam

Of which, there are 1,122,507 12th grade candidates, accounting for 96.33%; 42,782 independent candidates, accounting for 3.67%.

After the registration period ends, from April 28 to May 9, the registration units will review, check, and edit the candidates' information and reserved scores (if any).

Previously, information about some major new points of the 2025 high school graduation exam, Director of the Department of Quality Management Huynh Van Chuong said: This year's exam will reduce the number of exam sessions from 4 sessions as in previous years to 3 sessions. Candidates will be arranged in a single exam room, without having to move exam rooms.

The test collection will be done by room without having to classify by subject. Keeping the 24 candidates/exam room, 1 exam room can arrange up to 5 subjects. To ensure security, instead of only having 24 test codes for 24 students in 1 exam room as before, this year's exam increased the number of test codes to 48 for 2 time frames of the 3rd exam session.

This year's graduation exam will closely follow the High SchoolEducation Program, which mainly covers the content of the 12th grade program and the content that continues from grades 10, 11 to grade 12. In particular, the exam has differentiated questions that require solving practical problems. Therefore, during the review process, candidates need to get used to reasoning and researching for any content that can be related to reality in order to meet the requirements of the exam.

This year's graduation scores will include exam scores and high school students' academic scores at a ratio of 50/50 (last year it was 30%). Therefore, students' academic scores during their studies play a very important role.

In addition, the examination invigilation and grading process is adjusted to ensure compliance with the exam organization plan, while overcoming previous limitations and shortcomings to create more convenience for units in the implementation process.
