More than 1.3 million young people participate in "Digital Popular Education" activities

On June 22, in Hanoi, the 3rd Central Committee Conference of the Vietnam Youth Union, term IX took place with the participation of many delegates from provinces, cities and affiliated units.

The conference focused on discussing and giving opinions on many important contents related to the work of the Association and the youth movement, including evaluating the results of the first 6 months of 2025 and identifying key tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam emphasized that in the context of the entire political system at all levels actively participating in the revolution of reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus, reorganizing administrative units and local governments at two levels, the Youth Union is no exception to that policy. It is necessary to focus on propaganda work and unify awareness among the Union officials and members about the objective requirements of reorganizing the apparatus.

According to reports at the conference, in the first 6 months of the year, closely following the Association's work program and youth movement in 2025, all levels of the Vietnam Youth Union across the country have proactively implemented many exciting and practical activities, creating an environment for members and young people to practice, contribute, demonstrate the spirit of initiative, dedication and volunteering for the community.

Up to now, nearly 12,000 youth projects have been implemented nationwide; nearly 8,400 propaganda andeducation activities to prevent and combat moral degradation and social evils have been organized by more than 10,800 Youth Union organizations at all levels.

Notably, nearly 780 innovative start-up projects of young people have been supported by the Association to connect with businesses, venture capital funds or access appropriate funding sources. More than 3 million young people have participated in career counseling and guidance activities, of which about 755,000 young people have been introduced to jobs.

A notable highlight is that more than 1.3 million young people have participated in "Digital Literacy for All" activities, a program to support the improvement of foreign language proficiency, digital skills and international integration. Along with that, more than 600,000 new members have been admitted, 239 new Association organizations have been established in non-state enterprises, industrial parks, export processing zones, etc.

At the conference, delegates also discussed and unanimously approved two important projects: "Youth participation in preserving and promoting Vietnamese national cultural identity in the period of 2024-2029" and "Solidarity and gathering of young workers and laborers in the period of 2024-2029". The conference approved the working theme and key operational orientation of the Association and youth movement in 2026, as well as discussed personnel work.
