According to statistics from the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam, during the 3-day weekend (from June 20 to 22) , Ut Lan: Oan Linh Giu Cua earned nearly 20 billion VND in revenue with 232,454 tickets sold and 6,693 screenings.

Combined with revenue from early screenings and pre-sale tickets, the film has now grossed more than VND27 billion.
This figure completely overwhelms the films in the top 5, including many blockbusters.
Specifically, the live action version of How to Train Your Dragon , after a week leading the box office, dropped to second place with an additional revenue of more than 10 billion VND. The film currently has a total revenue of more than 40 billion VND.

Released last weekend, 28 Years Later: Post-Apocalyptic by director Danny Boyle, although highly rated for its quality, only grossed over 7 billion VND.
The No. 4 spot on the box office chart belongs to The Super Classy 5 with over 3.5 billion VND. Meanwhile, Doraemon is still firmly in the top 5 with nearly 3.5 billion VND. The movie about the robot cat currently has a total revenue of over 161 billion VND.
Last week, the Vietnamese animated film Trang Quynh nhi: Truyen thuy Kim Nguu was officially released to audiences but only achieved a very modest revenue of over 850 million VND. Adding the revenue from early screenings and pre-booked tickets, the film currently has a revenue of just over 2.3 billion VND.
This is a lower than expected sales figure because the work of director, Meritorious Artist Trinh Lam Tung is highly appreciated in terms of quality with a pure Vietnamese story, logically constructed content and humane, meaningful message.

This week, the Vietnamese box office promises to have many breakthroughs as a series of blockbuster movies are about to be released.
These include: F1® starring Brad Pitt; Borrowing alcohol to push the odds with the participation of two voice actors Quoc Huy and Sy Toan; the sci-fi horror film M3gan 2.0 ; the animated film Elio - The boy from Earth . In addition, we must mention the horror film Halabala: Ghost Forest and the sci- fi action film Ultraman arc the movie: The confrontation between light and evil . In particular, the Vietnamese horror film Headless Ghost will return to theaters with a new version.
