Kien Giang: Deploying troops to carry out the 2026 military-civilian Tet

On June 23, the Steering Committee for Military-Civilian Tet activities of Kien Giang province held a ceremony to launch military-civilian Tet activities in 2026.

Awarding scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties and study well

Many specific tasks were implemented such as: building 48 houses for policy beneficiaries; building 4 bridges, 2 flower roads, 2 rural road lighting projects; upgrading and repairing rural roads; examining and providing free medicine to 1,000 people; giving nearly 1,000 gifts to poor households and students overcoming difficulties; and donating 10 sets of computers with internet connection.

Construction of the Great Unity House started

Cultural and social activities such as: banh tet wrapping contest, fruit tray decoration, photo exhibition, OCOP product display, tourism promotion... are also organized to create a joyful atmosphere, connecting the army and people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho emphasized: The military-civilian Tet is a humane activity, demonstrating the solidarity between the military and the people, a journey of affection, trust and community strength towards the new spring.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 10 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties and started building a Great Solidarity house for a poor household in Hoa Dien commune.
