More than 1.5 million people benefit from Humanitarian Month 2025

(Chinhphu.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, said that the 2025 Humanitarian Month with the theme "Humanitarian journey to spread love" has supported more than 1.5 million people, with a total value of more than 709 billion VND.

Specifically, the results of resource mobilization during this year's Humanitarian Month increased nearly twice as much as planned, with the special efforts of the Association at all levels in the context of provincial mergers and the conversion of the 2-level local government organization model.

The entire Association system has assisted more than 1.5 million people (290% of the target), worth more than 709 billion VND (177% of the target).

Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh also said that 45 provinces and cities have models implementing the movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community" in Humanitarian Month 2025, some typical models in provinces and cities such as: free patient transport vehicles, 0-dong trips, 0-dong kitchens, 0-dong breakfasts, charity porridge pots, charity rice jars...

The online sports campaign "Millions of steps of charity - Continuing the golden history", taking place from November 23, 2024 to April 28, 2025 and the campaign "Humanitarian journey - Spreading love" on the Charity application, also attracted 200,773 athletes to participate with a total distance of 7.47 million km, converting the campaign achievements into humanitarian support resources equivalent to 5.62 billion VND.
