Trang An Marathon 2025, an event organized by VRace in collaboration with the Department of Culture & Sports of Ninh Binh province, has become the province's largest annual sports activity of the year, contributing to promoting the sports movement, spreading the spirit of healthy living - green living and promoting the image of the Trang An World Heritage site.
In the 5th season, the tournament welcomed more than 10,000 athletes participating in 4 routes of 4 distances, including 42km, 21km and 10km - exploring the heritage land, 5km - experiencing the heritage running track.
As a result, athlete Ho Quang Binh excellently finished first in the men's 42km distance with a time of 2 hours 38 minutes 38 seconds, surpassing international runners Kipchumba Kimutai (2 hours 39 minutes 21 seconds) and Nguyen Mai Trung (2 minutes 40 minutes 54 seconds). In the women's 42km event, Pham Thi My Duyen won with a time of 3 hours 13 minutes 37 seconds, exactly 1 second ahead of runner Hoang Huong Thuy.
Not just a race, Trang An Marathon 2025 is also a large-scale sports and tourism festival, attracting about 30,000 athletes, relatives and tourists to Ninh Binh at the end of the year, creating a positive effect on the orientation of sustainable sports tourism development and contributing to positioning Ninh Binh to become a green and sustainable sports tourism center in the future.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Permanent Deputy Director of the Department of Culture & Sports of Ninh Binh province said: "Trang An Marathon is not only a sporting event but also a cultural bridge - where every step on the Heritage Road is a journey to conquer one's own limits and spread the beauty of nature, culture and people of Vietnam. This is also an important activity in the strategy of developing sports tourism in Ninh Binh, contributing to bringing the image of Trang An Dual Heritage closer to international friends".
