To implement the Prime Minister's decisions, the General Department of State Reserves ( Ministry of Finance ) has assigned 10 regional state reserve departments to issue 12,736.905 tons of rice from the national reserve to support people on the occasion of Lunar New Year and the 2024 crop year.
Accordingly, the assigned regional State Reserve Departments include Bac Thai, Hoang Lien Son, Southwest, Southeast, South Central, North Central Highlands, South Central Highlands, Ha Bac, Nghe Tinh, and Nghia Binh.
The General Department of State Reserves assigned regional reserve departments to urgently issue, transport and deliver 10,401 tons of rice from the national reserve to support people in 17 localities (Soc Trang, Kon Tum, Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Gia Lai, Binh Dinh, Cao Bang, Nghe An, Dak Lak, Dak Nong , Bac Lieu, Ninh Thuan, Binh Phuoc, Quang Ngai, Kien Giang, An Giang, Tay Ninh) by February 9, 2024 (ie the 30th day of the Lunar New Year).
To prevent people from going hungry during the 2024 crop-break period, the General Department of State Reserves has also assigned regional State Reserve Departments (Northern Central Highlands, Southern Central Highlands, Southwest, Ha Bac) to complete the distribution, transportation and handover of 2,335,905 kg to support people in 7 provinces (Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Kien Giang, An Giang, Lang Son) before March 15, 2024.
Currently, regional state reserve departments have urgently coordinated with local departments, branches and sectors to organize and implement tasks according to plans approved by localities, ensuring proper procedures for issuing, receiving, distributing and using reserve goods.
