On the morning of June 3, more than 16,400 candidates at 36 examination councils officially entered the first day of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.
This is the decisive exam day for students wishing to enter non-specialized high schools.
Of the total number of candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam this year, 15,516 students registered to take the exam at non-specialized high schools, and 914 students applied to take the exam at Ha Tinh Specialized High School.
At 36 examination councils, the Examination Steering Committee has arranged 703 examination rooms with full facilities and equipment, and at the same time implemented plans to ensure security and order inside and outside the examination area.
The Department of Education and Training, related departments and localities have promoted their sense of responsibility to the maximum, arranged nearly 2,400 officers and staff to work at the examination councils, and focused on the best conditions to ensure the exam took place safely and seriously.
At exactly 7:15 a.m. on June 3, candidates began taking the Math exam, which lasted 90 minutes. Then, candidates took the English exam at 10 a.m., which lasted 60 minutes.
In the afternoon, at 2:30 p.m., candidates continue to take the Literature exam, with a duration of 120 minutes.
In the 2025-2026 school year 10th grade entrance exam in Ha Tinh, the number of candidates registered for the exam decreased by more than 2,000 students compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the enrollment rate for grade 10 public high schools in the whole province accounts for 72% of grade 9 students (down 2% compared to the previous school year). Therefore, at some examination councils, students cannot avoid pressure when the number of candidates registering for the exam is large.
