The Drug Administration of Vietnam, Ministry of Health has just announced the List of drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients with circulation registration certificates that can continue to be used according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 3 of Resolution No. 80/2023/QH15 dated January 9, 2023 of the National Assembly (Phase 9).
Accordingly, the list of drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients with circulation registration certificates that continue to be used from the date of expiration until December 31, 2024 as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 3 of Resolution No. 1, since the beginning of the year, after 9 announcements, 11,866 (including 9,202 domestic drugs, 2,420 foreign drugs, 244 biological vaccines) have had their circulation registration certificates, pharmaceutical ingredients, vaccines and medical biological products extended by the Ministry of Health according to Resolution 80 of the National Assembly.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam said that it has repeatedly issued new and renewed circulation registration certificates for domestically produced and foreign drugs according to the provisions of the 2016 Pharmacy Law for many domestic and foreign drugs with a term of 3 or 5 years to serve the people's needs for medical examination and treatment and disease prevention.
To date, a total of 4,087 drugs have been renewed or newly issued under the 2016 Pharmacy Law.
In addition, the Drug Administration of Vietnam also said that the authorities are submitting to the Advisory Council for consideration and preparation to issue nearly 1,200 drugs; handling over 9,000 change and supplement dossiers.
It is known that domestic and foreign pharmaceutical products that have had their registration numbers renewed or newly issued in recent times are quite diverse in terms of pharmacological effects, including drugs for treating cancer, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, antiviral drugs, drugs for treating respiratory diseases, antibiotics, antipyretics, analgesics, other common anti-inflammatory drugs... and vaccines and biological products that are in high demand for use in medical examination and treatment and disease prevention.
Up to now, there are over 22,000 types of drugs with valid circulation registration certificates with about 800 active ingredients of various types, ensuring the supply of drugs on the market.
