The project "Enhancing skills and employment opportunities for young people to contribute to improving capacity for safe international integration in the period 2023 - 2025" is implemented by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, with the support of the United Nations International Migration Mission.
The project was implemented in 4 provinces and cities nationwide including: Nghe An, Hai Phong, Quang Binh and Ha Tinh . The project has achieved the results as committed to the sponsor such as: organizing training for 650 young people, providing job counseling and finding safe jobs; organizing 6 job fairs for 6,093 young people and workers with nearly 45,000 job positions needed from unskilled workers to workers with college and university degrees.

In Nghe An, the project is implemented in conjunction with soft skills training activities, short-term vocational training, job connections and start-up support, contributing to reducing illegal migration.
Of which, more than 10,000 youth union members and youth in localities and schools across the province have been reached through dissemination activities from trained trainees.

Regarding vocational training, internship and job connection support activities for Nghe An youth, there have been 3 short-term vocational training courses for 60 students. The training occupations are welding, baking, refrigeration. At the end of the course, all students were granted primary vocational certificates, many of whom have found jobs and stable incomes.

Regarding activities to support start-up initiatives and sustainable small business start-up models, The working delegation of the Central Youth Union, IOM and Provincial Youth Union accompanied the 5 models participating in the project to adjust the action plan to suit the reality.

The project implemented in Nghe An has brought about many substantial and in-depth results, contributing to reducing illegal labor migration, especially in districts with high labor export rates.
In addition to the achievements, there are still many difficulties and challenges. Typically, the rate of unemployed youth and those not participating in education and training in rural areas is still high; young people still lack knowledge and skills when facing economic restructuring and changes in labor structure in various industries...

Organizations and individuals at the conference participated in discussing many important solutions to enhance knowledge, train digital capacity, soft skills, and entrepreneurship skills among young people.
At the same time, improve the effectiveness of job counseling and safe job search on digital platforms. Adjust and overcome shortcomings, limitations, difficulties and challenges in the project implementation process in the past./.
