Upon receiving the news, Colonel Tran Huu Ich, Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command, directed the urgent mobilization of more than 300 officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces. At the same time, he requested Military Region 5 to reinforce with 200 officers and soldiers of Division 315. In less than an hour, more than 500 officers and soldiers were present at the scene, deploying an emergency reinforcement plan.

The force was divided into many groups, focusing on reinforcing vulnerable points with earthen bags, steel cages and local materials. Despite extremely difficult construction conditions due to high water levels and strong currents, the forces still coordinated closely with the people of Duy Nghia commune, working through the night to temporarily fix the new landslides.
Previously, at the end of October, the entire embankment was seriously eroded, threatening the residential areas of Thuan An and An Luong villages. Duy Nghia commune authorities organized the evacuation of 64 households with more than 230 people out of the danger zone. At the same time, they mobilized people to coordinate with armed forces to reinforce more than 500m of embankment to prevent further erosion.

On November 12, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced a natural disaster emergency situation regarding the landslide incident on the An Luong embankment. The emergency repair area is 1,564m long, belonging to the Thu Bon river embankment, stretching from the foot of Cua Dai bridge to the estuary (2.2km long).
