A century after its first printing, "Kim Co Cach Ngon" by On Nhu Luong Van Can still contains many values for future generations.

The valuable compilations during his lifetime by Luong Van Can include Commercial Proverbs , Ancient and Modern Proverbs, etc. His works focused on teaching the basic ideas of Confucianism and profound moral education, contributing to the preservation of the quintessence of classical learning, lessons on human morality and the way to get rich, useful for merchants and for the economic revival of the country at that time.

Although the language Luong Van Can used in Kim Co Cach Ngon a hundred years ago is somewhat unfamiliar compared to modern writing style, the profound meaning of the proverbs still retains its value.

We can cite some of his famous sayings such as: “The value of honor is better than wearing a gold belt”, meaning: The value of honor is better than wearing a gold belt. Or “Establishing a name takes a lifetime, but losing it only takes a moment”, meaning: Building a name takes a lifetime, but losing it only takes a moment, success is difficult but failure is easy.

Exactly a century since its first publication in 1925, the golden words in Kim Co Cach Aphorisms still shine with their precious qualities, serving as a moral compass for future generations, especially in the context of modern society that is constantly changing and posing many challenges regarding life values.
