Attending the Forum were Party Central Committee member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang; Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh; Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang; Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Trung; Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh.
Along with that is the participation of more than 500 domestic and foreign partners. Especially the direct participation of leaders of more than 35 localities that have established and will establish friendly and cooperative relations with Da Nang , Ambassadors, Consuls General of countries, and businesses of foreign localities.
In his opening speech, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said that the Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities - Da Nang 2025 with the theme "Convergence and Spread" includes many activities that have been and are taking place enthusiastically: bilateral meetings, seminars on "International cooperation to promote business investment taking advantage of new trends" and "International cooperation to promote tourism development", field visits and local cultural experiences in Da Nang city. This is an important foreign affairs and international cooperation event that opens a series of international events taking place in the city in 2025.
The Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities - Da Nang 2025 is expected to be an opportunity for international friends to see Da Nang as a dynamic and creative city. At the same time, it creates opportunities for localities to access information, visions, trends and new technologies, serving socio-economic development. Da Nang wishes to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance its position, affirming its role as a growth pole and international integration.
“At today’s plenary session, the city wishes to increase discussions on key areas: Innovation, promoting cooperation in the field of research, development and application of new technologies; Smart City; Encouraging investment and cooperation in the fields of High Technology, Semiconductor Technology and Artificial Intelligence; Urban planning and sustainable tourism; Environmental protection and cultural heritage,” said Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh.
The year 2025 marks important milestones for Da Nang: the 95th anniversary of the founding of the City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the City Liberation Day. In the context of deep international integration, Da Nang always opens its doors to welcome localities and international partners, strengthens friendship with localities, expands the international cooperation map, jointly exploits potential, aims for sustainable development, narrows geographical distances and connects the community.
“True to the theme of the Forum “Convergence and Spread”, we wish to make Da Nang a place to converge and spread good values, valuable knowledge and experiences of the international community, so that many friends and partners will come and accompany the development of Da Nang city”, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh emphasized.
At the plenary session, many international agreements were signed: the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the People's Committee of Da Nang City and the city of Genoa (Italy), and the city of Aktau (Kazakhstan).
Along with that, the city leaders plan to award certificates of units accompanying the city in promoting brands and organizing events and festivals in 2025; award investment registration certificates and investment certificates for a number of projects; award MOUs of cooperation between 5 parties on semiconductor and AI training...
