According to Yonhap News Agency, bookstore operators said that from October 10 to the afternoon of October 13, they had sold about 530,000 copies of author Han Kang's books.

Of these, Kyobo Book Centre sold about 260,000 copies and Yes24 sold 270,000 copies.
The female writer's works quickly took over the top 11 positions in the real-time bestseller lists at both Kyobo and Yes24 bookstore chains.
Most of her books are currently available primarily on pre-order.
A bookstore representative said that author Han Kang's books are expected to be restocked this weekend and early next week to meet reader demand.
Among the most popular works, the novel Human Acts is the most "hunted" by readers, followed by The Vegetarian and the most recent book We Do Not Part.
Author Han Kang made history by becoming the first Korean writer and the first female Asian writer to win the Nobel Prize for Literature.
