More than 92,000 candidates registered for the second round of competency assessment exams, double last year's number

The second round of the competency assessment exam will be organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in coordination with other units on the morning of June 1 in 11 provinces/cities, including Hue, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tien Giang and An Giang .

The number of registrations is 52,000 more than the same period last year.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh - Director of the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment (Ho Chi Minh City National University) - said that as of 5:00 p.m. on May 7, more than 92,000 candidates had registered to take the second round of the competency assessment exam.

"Up to this point, the number of candidates registering for the second round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam this year has increased by 52,000 candidates compared to the same round last year (40,000 candidates registered). The system is still open until today, May 7," said Mr. Chinh.

Candidates can easily register for the exam through the online portal at: http://thinangluc.vnuhcm.edu.vn/ and pay the fee using one of the following e-wallets: Viettel Money, FPTPay, Momo and Payoo.

Candidates' examination fee payment must be completed before May 8.

To complete the registration for the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam, candidates need to fully complete the requirements for information registration, exam location registration, and fee payment within the prescribed time.

Candidates will receive confirmation of payment status on their exam registration account immediately after successfully making payment according to the announced methods.

The results of the second round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's aptitude test will be announced on June 16.

The exam notice will be available at the candidate's ability assessment registration account within 7 days before the official exam date. The exam notice will not be sent to the candidate's email or by post .

Ho Chi Minh City National University does not organize practice tests to assess capacity.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh noted: "Ho Chi Minh City National University does not issue review materials in any form, does not organize exam practice tests, and does not provide mock exams to any individual.

Ho Chi Minh City National University only provides the exam structure, exam description and an illustrative exam so that teachers and students know the format of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam.

Any act of impersonating, using images and logos of the competency assessment exam, Ho Chi Minh City National University and the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment to promote exam preparation is illegal.

Register for admission according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training

The first round of the Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Exam in 2025 had 128,338 candidates registered from 2,063 high schools in 63 provinces/cities nationwide (an increase of 34.3% compared to the number of candidates registered in the first round of 2024, which was 95,548 candidates). 126,297 candidates attended the exam (attendance/registration ratio 98.4%).

The average score of the candidates was 618.4 points. The candidate with the highest score in the exam was 1,060 points and the candidate with the lowest score was 40 points.

This year, more than 100 universities and colleges will use the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment Exam. Admissions will be conducted according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training.
