This is an activity to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh on May 19 and International Museum Day on May 18.
It is even more meaningful when the exhibition opens on the 135th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum building being built and officially put into operation (1890-2025).

The exhibition "Journey in Uncle Ho's Footsteps through Stamp and Postcard Collections" introduces 225 precious images, stamps and postcards about Uncle Ho by collectors Nguyen Dai Hung Loc and Tran Van Bui, divided into three parts.
Portraits of President Ho Chi Minh through the ages introduces images of Uncle Ho from his youth to his final years. The highlight is the stamp collection issued on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his birth.
The journey following Uncle Ho's footsteps recreates President Ho Chi Minh's journey to find a way to save the country, the process of founding the Party, and leading the Vietnamese revolution in the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism.

At the opening ceremony, collector Nguyen Dai Hung Loc compared each stamp and postcard to an image ambassador containing many messages about the culture, history, and image of the country and people of Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Dai Hung Loc also published for the first time a collection of 23 postcards of the legendary ship Amiral Latouche Trevilee - the ship that took the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh to find a way to save the country.
In addition, he also introduced a collection of postcards of some of the places President Ho Chi Minh passed through during his journey abroad to find a way to save the country.

Here, visitors can also see the first set of postage stamps issued in 1946. The set includes 5 designs depicting President Ho Chi Minh's portrait designed by artist Nguyen Sang.

The 2-dong model was first issued in May 1949, after domestic postage rates increased, a 5-dong model was issued at the end of 1950. In 1954, the post office overprinted 0.100 kg of rice on these two stamps to use as official stamps.
