11,000 people run to support the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses in Binh Duong

The race "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Binh Duong province in 2025" is organized to create a useful and meaningful playground for everyone who loves running inside and outside the province, thereby also showing charity, contributing to helping families with difficulties in life.

This year’s tournament, organized by the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province, attracted 11,000 athletes from all over the country. The athletes competed together on spacious roads in Binh Duong New City, with 3 distances including: 3km, 5km and 10km.

At the end of the tournament, the organizers awarded prizes to the top 10 finishers in each distance, and presented souvenir medals to the athletes who completed the competition distance.

The race is a meaningful activity, contributing to improving the health of the masses, and at the same time, through the race, promoting the image, cultural beauty, friendliness and hospitality of Binh Duong people to friends and tourists across the country.

In addition to the competition, the race is also a journey to join hands to build a sustainable community, where everyone shares and spreads kindness. Through the program, volunteer activities raise funds to implement the plan of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by 2025, with the message "Millions of loving hearts - Thousands of happy homes" launched by the Prime Minister .

The athletes participating in the tournament together contributed in the spirit of "Each person contributes a hand, each family shares a part", in the program "Run for a warm home - Give love - Receive happiness". In many different ways, runners from all over the country both demonstrated their expertise and shared the difficulties with families living under temporary roofs and dilapidated houses.

Currently, Binh Duong province has more than 4,000 poor and near-poor households. Of these, more than 700 households do not have a house or are living in temporary or dilapidated houses that need to be built or repaired.

By the end of the race, the total amount of money donated to the campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Binh Duong province was more than 27.5 billion VND.

More than 2,100 people participate in District 5's business engagement walk

On the morning of May 18, District 5 People's Committee organized the walking program "Cadres, civil servants, public employees and enterprises of District 5" in 2025.

This is the third consecutive year that District 5 has organized this special walking program. Over the previous two years, the event has become a major activity, a playground for cadres, civil servants, public employees, businessmen and workers in the district, with an increasing scale in both quantity and quality of organization each year.

If 2023 was the first time this walking program was organized, it attracted 1,000 participants, then by 2024 this number doubled.

This year, the organizing committee recorded nearly 2,150 participants from 157 units and enterprises, including more than 600 officials, civil servants, public employees and nearly 1,550 entrepreneurs and workers in the area.

District 5 People's Committee hopes that the walking program "Cadres, civil servants, public employees and enterprises of District 5" in 2025 will create conditions for closer connection between the district government and units, enterprises, and between enterprises to exchange experiences, share information, develop together and accompany the work of caring for social security in the locality.
