Hong Phong: Drying peeled boards encroaches on road safety corridor

Peeled wood is gathered and dried close to provincial road 231.

– On provincial road 231, through Van Can village, Hong Phong commune, Binh Gia district, there are some sections where people encroach on the road safety corridor to dry peeled boards. This winding and narrow section of road leads to potential traffic safety risks.

Through discussions with the leaders of the People's Committee of Hong Phong commune, it is known that previously some households had processed and dried wood in their family's yard. However, since the end of 2022, people have brought it to the roadside to dry and gather it here. Although the government has intervened to propagate and remind, some households have not complied.

Faced with that reality, it is hoped that the authorities will soon take measures to completely handle the above situation, thereby contributing to ensuring traffic safety and avoiding unfortunate incidents for people and vehicles participating in traffic in this area.
