How will people benefit from policies for areas facing extreme difficulties after the merger?

(Chinhphu.vn) - Ms. Nguyen Thuy Kim Ngan (An Giang) is a specialist of the Town's Finance and Planning Department. After the merger, she was transferred to work as a specialist of the Commune Economic Department (the new commune was merged from 3 old communes).

According to Decision No. 861/QD-TTg dated June 4, 2021 of the Prime Minister , the 3 old communes before the merger had 1 commune in Area I, 1 commune in Area II, and 1 commune in Area III.

Ms. Ngan asked, so will she enjoy the policies and regimes for working in a particularly difficult socio -economic area or will the policies and regimes remain the same as before the merger?

Regarding this matter, the Ministry of Interior responded as follows:

Currently, the policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and salary earners in the armed forces working in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions are in accordance with Decree No. 76/2019/ND-CP dated October 8, 2019 of the Government.

Implement the arrangement and organization of the state apparatus and implement the arrangement and organization of 2-level local governments leading to the commune areas according to the provisions of Decision No. 861/QD-TTg dated June 4, 2021 of the Prime Minister on Approving the list of communes in Region III, Region II, Region I in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2021-2025 with changes.

According to its assigned functions, the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions is presiding over the drafting and submission to the Government for promulgation of a Decree on delimitation of areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions to replace Decision No. 861/QD-TTg.

After the Government issued a document replacing Decision No. 861/QD-TTg, cadres, civil servants and public employees working in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions within the scope of regulation in Clause 2, Article 1 of Decree No. 76/2019/ND-CP shall enjoy the policies prescribed in Decree No. 76/2019/ND-CP.

The implementation of policies for cadres, civil servants and public employees in An Giang province is under the authority of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Therefore, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Kim Ngan is requested to contact the agency managing cadres, civil servants and public employees of An Giang province (Department of Home Affairs) for clarification.
