After completing her mission with Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club in the semi-finals of the 2024/25 Southeast Asian Women's Club Championship, striker Huynh Nhu officially joined the national women's team from May 28.
Huynh Nhu and her teammates quickly got into the rhythm of intense training, preparing for the upcoming training trip to Japan. Sharing before the training session on the afternoon of May 30, Huynh Nhu affirmed that the whole team is maintaining a focused spirit and good physical condition.
“The whole team has been training for more than 3 weeks, the training atmosphere is very positive. The players are familiar with each other so they play more cohesively. In particular, the young players are making clear progress, gradually integrating and coordinating well with their seniors," said the captain of the Vietnamese women's team.
As evidence of the maturity of the next generation, Huynh Nhu mentioned the impressive performance of young striker Ngoc Minh Chuyen, who just scored in a friendly match with Werder Bremen women's club. That is a very encouraging sign for Vietnamese women's football.

According to the striker born in 1991, the team is undergoing a generational transition, and new recruits like Nam Mi are leaving a lot of impressions: "Nam Mi has the qualities and physique that are very suitable for the current tactical requirements of the team. In life, Nam Mi is very cute, eager to learn, and especially has the advantage of speaking Vietnamese so she can communicate with everyone and is loved."
Talking about the training process, Huynh Nhu said that each practice match is carefully planned by the coaching staff, both setting professional goals and focusing on maintaining physical condition. After each match, the whole team meets to review experiences and improve shortcomings.
Joining the team late like Huynh Nhu, young striker Tuyet Ngan also expressed her determination in this training session: "I always try my best 100% every time I wear the national team jersey, with clear personal goals."
According to the plan, the Vietnamese women's team will continue to have a practice match tomorrow (May 31) with the Son Tay Youth team at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. After that, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have one more week of training before leaving for Japan on the evening of June 7, to prepare for important tournaments of the year.
