According to the report, Lang Son province has 5 border districts with 21 communes and towns. Implementing the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" for the period 2021-2025, the Women's Union at all levels of Lang Son province coordinated with the provincial Border Guard force to effectively carry out movements, campaigns, build models, movements, and projects such as: "Building new rural areas, civilized urban areas"; "All people unite to build a cultural life"; "Women protect border markers"; Project "Bamboo fences of Vietnam border"...

At the same time, organize many activities to support women members in especially difficult circumstances, policy families, meritorious people, poor and near-poor households in border areas.

In particular, in the work of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and creating sustainable livelihoods for people, especially ethnic minority women in Lang Son border areas; the Women's Union at all levels and local Border Guard Stations have promoted social security activities, mobilized resources to support and build 30 suitable livelihood models. For example, the hybrid chicken farming model (Tam Gia commune, Loc Binh district); the 6-finger chicken farming model (Mau Son commune, Loc Binh district); the cardamom planting model (Bac Xa commune, Dinh Lap district). Along with that, support has been given to build new models such as the cinnamon and star anise planting model (Dao Vien commune, Tan Minh commune, Trang Dinh district); the chestnut planting model (Thuy Hung commune, Van Lang district); and the establishment of a cooperative group to grow wild lemon trees in Mau Son commune, Loc Binh district, etc.

The implementation and support of livelihood models have contributed to improving the material and spiritual life of members in border areas, helping many women escape poverty and stabilize their lives.

Accompanying Lang Son women, the Bac Ninh Women's Union actively participated in the program. In the photo, the leaders of the Bac Ninh Women's Union presented symbolic gifts to disadvantaged women members in the Lang Son border area.

Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, spoke at the conference, emphasizing: In the coming time, the Women's Union and Border Guard at all levels will continue to coordinate to promote the results and effectiveness of the program; proactively research and select appropriate content and implementation forms for the program, close to the border area; effectively deploy resources from the province's general economic and social development programs and projects. Implement gender equality and solve urgent issues for women and children under the National Target Program on economic and social development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. At the same time, the Party Committees, authorities and organizations of border communes will pay attention to vocational training, support job creation for people; promote economic potential, mobilize investment resources, and promote comprehensive development of border areas.

Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Program "Accompanying women in the border areas" for the period 2021-2025 were honored and rewarded.

On this occasion, 15 collectives and 38 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Program "Accompanying women in the border areas" for the period 2021 - 2025 were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee; received Certificates of Merit from the Lang Son Provincial Women's Union and the Lang Son Provincial Border Guard Command.
