Over the past 5 years, the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" for the period 2021-2025 between the Women's Union of Lang Son province and the Border Guard Command of Lang Son province has coordinated to effectively implement 6 contents, 6/7 targets were achieved and exceeded.
The two units coordinated to organize propaganda to implement the program with more than 1,200 working sessions, with 65,000 cadres, women's union members and people participating.
To concretize the program's activities, the Women's Union at all levels and Border Guard Stations across Lang Son province have mobilized accompanying units and philanthropists to implement 30 suitable livelihood models in the locality.

Responding to the program, more than 900 women's households signed to participate in managing and protecting the border and national border markers; at the same time, more than 500 women's union members joined the Border Guard officers and soldiers in patrolling the border, clearing the border line, border patrol routes, coordinating the implementation of the model "Vietnam border bamboo fence", "Planting peach blossoms on the border", giving 6,915 national flags and pictures of Uncle Ho to households in border villages... worth more than 900 million VND...
After 5 years of implementation, Lang Son province has maintained and expanded 15 models of women participating in managing and protecting border lines and landmarks, thereby contributing to arousing patriotism, national pride, and encouraging women's union members and people to raise awareness of protecting border sovereignty .
With other social security work, the two units also coordinated to support the construction of 25 Border Shelters, more than 200 civil works, 155 toilets, 236 children received support from the programs "Godmother", "Adopted Children of Border Guard Station", "Helping Children Go to School"...
In the coming time, the Women's Union and the Border Guard of Lang Son province will continue to proactively research, adjust, and select appropriate content and implementation forms that are close to reality in the new situation; effectively deploy resources from socio -economic development programs and projects, especially Project 8 "Implementing Gender Equality and Solving Urgent Issues for Women and Children" under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas...

Recognizing the achievements after 5 years of implementing the program, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 groups and 15 individuals; the Border Guard Command and the Women's Union of Lang Son province awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 groups and 23 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the program Accompanying women in the border areas for the period 2021-2025.
Also at the Conference, the Women's Union of Bac Ninh province also donated funds to build 30 toilets and 20 gifts to members in difficult circumstances with a total value of 100 million VND.
