Implementing the Plan to combat the LS525 project, established on May 6, 2025 by the Lang Son Provincial Border Guard Command on combating subjects and illegal trading and transportation of firecrackers in the border area of Lang Son province, at 3:40 a.m. on May 31, 2025, the Drug and Crime Prevention Department, Lang Son Border Guard Command (in charge) coordinated with the Economic Police Department of Lang Son Provincial Police, Binh Nghi Border Guard Station, Dao Vien Commune Police, Trang Dinh District, Lang Son Province to patrol and control the border and area in the Ban Pung area of Village 1, Dao Vien Commune, and discovered a group of 6 subjects walking from the border patrol route in the area about 300m from marker 1023 towards the Vietnamese territory in Village 1, Dao Vien Commune, showing signs of suspicion of illegally transporting goods from China to Vietnam.
Seeing the task force, the four subjects turned around and fled. The task force then arrested two subjects: Tran Van Kien, born in 1984, and Ha Van Thuan, born in 1998, both residing in Village 1, Dao Vien Commune. Each of the subjects' vehicles was carrying three gray sacks of pineapple.
Thuan and Kien stated that the above goods were hired by Tran Van Cu, born in 1984, residing in Village 1, Dao Vien, to be transported from China to Vietnam without legal documents.
Through professional measures, the authorities discovered and arrested four more suspects: Nong Van Tuyen (born in 1994); Ha Van Thien (born in 1996); Ma Van Cuu (born in 1976); Dam Van Giang (born in 1994), all residing in Village 1, Dao Vien Commune, Trang Dinh District, Lang Son.
Next, the Task Force continued to arrest Nong Van Man (1989), who also resides in the same area as the above subjects.
Seized evidence included 405kg of fireworks (36-hole pellet gun box type) and 7 motorbikes.
According to the testimony, the subjects Tran Van Cu and Nong Van Man bought the above fireworks through a Chinese owner, then Cu and Man hired 6 subjects (Cuu, Thien, Kien, Tuyen, Giang, Thuan) to transport the above fireworks to Vietnam with the purpose of selling for profit.

Currently, the Border Guard Command of Lang Son province has directed the Department of Crime and Drug Prevention and Control, Binh Nghi Border Guard Station to consolidate evidence, complete initial records, coordinate with functional forces to investigate and expand the case, arrest related subjects for handling according to the provisions of law.
The case is under further investigation.
