Right from the first days of the 2024-2025 National First Division season, Ninh Binh football has shown a strong transformation under the strong direction of the provincial leaders. In particular, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc have assigned the responsibility to Phu Dong Ninh Binh Football Club.
The goal is to build a team that plays honestly, fairly and devotedly, while at the same time rekindling the spirit of the ancient capital Hoa Lu, contributing to promoting the image and identity of Ninh Binh, gradually bringing the province's sports back to its inherent position on the map of Vietnamese football. To realize this mission, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy, Chairman of ThaiGroup and Loc Phat Bank Vietnam ( LPBank ), has played a central role, directly directing the comprehensive reconstruction of the team.

With a passion for his homeland and a long-term vision, Mr. Thuy not only invested heavily in finance, recruited quality players, strengthened the coaching staff, upgraded the stadium, but also laid the foundation for a sustainable football development strategy in Ninh Binh. This long-term plan has convinced top Vietnamese football stars such as Hoang Duc and Van Lam to come to Ninh Binh, together creating a cohesive team.

Most recently, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy and the leaders of Ninh Binh province had a special working trip to Spain. Here, the delegation worked with Barcelona Club to visit and learn about the famous youth training model La Masia, which has produced legends such as Messi, Iniesta, and Xavi.
Following this trip, the delegation will continue to research and promote cooperation with leading football academies in Japan and the Netherlands - countries with modern, scientific youth training systems closely linked to Asian football practices. The goal was clearly defined by Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy: to build an Asian-class football academy in Ninh Binh. This will not only be a place to train professional players but also create a regular playground for the U19 team with 40-50 matches per year - similar to the "Youth League" model in Europe. At the same time, he is also particularly interested in referee development, training programs, and advanced professional development to create resources to support the comprehensive development of local football.

With such strong support, Phu Dong Ninh Binh Football Club has played brilliantly, demonstrating a spirit of solidarity and a strong desire to win. Consecutive victories helped the team gain early promotion with 3 rounds to go, a rare achievement in the history of the First Division and more importantly, rekindled the faith and pride of the people of the ancient capital. This is not only a victory on the field, but also the result of a strategic vision, a great aspiration of Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy - who is quietly laying the first bricks for a Ninh Binh football foundation in particular and Vietnamese football in general to develop systematically, professionally and sustainably.
