Within the framework of the International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange in Lang Son in 2025, on May 31, the People's Committee of Lang Son province coordinated with the Embassy of India in Vietnam to organize the Conference "Meet India 2025".
At the conference, delegates discussed the potential, advantages and policies to attract investment in the fields of investment, trade, logistics and tourism ; the potential for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, forestry, food, tourism between Lang Son province and localities in India; the potential for exporting Lang Son star anise products as well as cooperation in transporting other import and export goods.

Lang Son organizes International Yoga Day
According to the People's Committee of Lang Son province, in recent years, India has been one of the province's trusted and important partners in many fields, especially in agriculture and education.
Currently, the Indian market is importing about 80% of the star anise output exported from Lang Son with diverse products such as essential oils, organic spices, health care products, cosmetics. In addition, black jelly, a key agricultural product of Lang Son province, is also gradually being exported to India.

At the conference, the leaders of Lang Son province hoped that the Embassy of India and the Indian Business Association in Vietnam would introduce and connect Indian businesses with the province in investment and business cooperation in the border economic zone and industrial parks and clusters. At the same time, Lang Son province proposed that the other side expand cooperation in areas such as: information technology, digital transformation, pharmaceuticals, agricultural processing, renewable energy, logistics and tourism development,...
Ms. T. Ajungla Jamir, Deputy Ambassador of India to Vietnam, said that with the advantage of the international, national and secondary border gates, Lang Son is emerging as an important logistics center for many foreign companies, including Indian companies. In addition, Lang Son also has a large area of star anise cultivation, a product that many Indian spice and flavor companies are interested in. This will open up a great opportunity to enhance cooperation between Lang Son and Indian companies in this field.

The Deputy Ambassador also hopes that through the conference, Lang Son and India will seek opportunities for cooperation, market connection and exchange to promote investment in the fields of agriculture, forestry, food, especially in the fields of tourism and border trade.
During the program, representatives of the Lang Son Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion and representatives of the Indian Business Association in Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in developing investment, trade and tourism between the two sides in the coming time.
