On the morning of May 31, at the Lang Son Provincial Fair and Exhibition Center, the People's Committee of Lang Son province coordinated with the Embassy of India and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations in Vietnam to organize the opening ceremony of the International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange in Lang Son in 2025.
India is one of the Comprehensive Strategic Partners with which Vietnam has a close relationship in the international arena. Over the years, the official friendship between Vietnam and India has been laid down by the great leaders of the two nations and nurtured by many generations of leaders and people of the two countries.

Inheriting and promoting those good results, the two countries have now achieved many great achievements in all fields, including culture and tourism .
In particular, the organization of International Yoga Day (June 21) in many provinces and cities in Vietnam has contributed to spreading positive humanistic values between the two countries. Because in addition to good diplomatic and cultural values, Yoga has been welcomed and enthusiastically practiced by the Vietnamese people throughout the country for many years.

During the opening ceremony, delegates, residents and visitors were able to admire the traditional Indian lamp lighting ceremony and enjoy a special art program with the theme: "Yoga - Aspiration to Reach Far" including 3 chapters: Yoga shines for a peaceful and prosperous world; Vietnam-India friendship is forever sustainable; Yoga is the essence of heaven and earth for human life.

The program included performances alternating between Vietnamese and Indian artists and actors, creating an impressive cultural exchange. In particular, the mass performance with the participation of more than 300 people contributed to the highlight of the opening ceremony.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 28 first, second and third prizes to athletes with high achievements in the Shining Yoga competition - one of the activities within the framework of the festival.

The International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange in Lang Son with the theme “Yoga - Connecting Culture, Strengthening Friendship” is an important and meaningful cultural event. This is an opportunity for Lang Son province to introduce, connect, and promote images and unique features of culture, history, land, and people to domestic and international friends.
At the same time, help people better understand the great values of yoga for physical and mental health and quality of life, encourage people to practice yoga. Lang Son province hopes that through the activities of the Festival, it will contribute to deepening the good relationship, promoting extensive cooperation between Lang Son province and localities of India.
