The total number of candidates taking the second round of the competency assessment exam this year is more than double that of the same round in 2024 (about 42,290 candidates).
Of these, more than 67,620 candidates took the first round of the exam and retook the second round, accounting for more than 71%; nearly 27,228 candidates took the exam for the first time, accounting for 28.7%.
Ho Chi Minh City has the largest number of candidates registered for the exam with 33,427 candidates.
The second round of the 2025 competency assessment exam will be held in 11 provinces and cities: Hue City, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Tien Giang, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.
The results of the second round of exams are expected to be announced on June 16. If candidates take both rounds of exams, the higher result will be used for admission consideration.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the results of the first round of competency assessment exams. In this round, the average score of candidates was 618.4 points, 142 candidates scored more than 1,000 points, the candidate with the highest score was 1,060 points.
Currently, more than 110educational institutions have registered to use the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University to consider student admission for their units.
