Under the hood of the new Hyundai Venue are still the same 3 engine options as before. First is a naturally aspirated gasoline engine, 1.2L capacity, producing a maximum capacity of 83 horsepower. Second is a 1.0L turbocharged gasoline engine with a maximum capacity of 120 horsepower. Finally, there is a 1.5L diesel engine, with a maximum capacity of 116 horsepower.

The 1.2L petrol engine is only available with a manual transmission while the 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine has an additional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) option. Hyundai also added a hydraulic torque converter automatic transmission to the diesel engine instead of just a manual transmission as before.
