Recent rumors suggest that Apple is working on a bezel-less display that would completely eliminate the bezels around the display, similar to the Apple Watch. However, this technology may not be ready for the iPhone 18 in 2026 and will have to wait until the iPhone 19 in 2027.

The bezel-less display promises a stunning visual experience, but it also poses a number of technical challenges, particularly in terms of durability. Curved displays down the sides, like the Apple Watch, could make the iPhone more vulnerable to damage from impacts.

Currently, Apple is cooperating with Samsung and LG to develop new display technology, including:
