Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian said his country had informed the US and given its neighbours 72 hours warning about the Israeli raid.
"We have informed the White House that our activities will be limited, minimal and aimed at punishing Israel," Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on April 14.
Iran's foreign minister added that the country had also given neighboring countries 72 hours notice of its retaliation against Israel.
"We have informed our brothers and friends in the region, including those countries where the US has military bases, that our goal is only to punish the Israeli government," Mr. Amir-Abdollahian affirmed.

Iran's foreign minister said the country "does not seek to target Americans or American bases in the region", but warned it could target US military facilities involved in "protecting and supporting" Israel.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched UAVs, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles at multiple targets in Israel on the night of April 13 in response to the airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Syria earlier this month. Israel claimed to have intercepted most of Iran's UAVs and missiles with the help of the US and its allies.
Leaders of countries and international organizations have called for a de-escalation of tensions following the attack. US President Joe Biden reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Washington would not participate in any Tel Aviv response to Tehran.
